Filipinos big problem

March 3, 2009

Another big problem is terrorism. Last September, another boming happened in Isabela and the latest bombing happened is July 2008 in Digos killing almost a number of casualties usually innocent civilians. But who are to blame? The NPA’s who in their struggle have fought for their belief and determination to have a free country? The Abu Sayyaf, whom the government has the skills of bombings. The Jemaah Islamiyah, a group of terrorists from Indonesia said to have entered the vicinity of the Philippines? Or are they forgetting to point a finger to themselves? The biggest question now is, who really is the perpetrator behind these bombings? Why is it that for years now, there has been no exact suspect for terrorist attacks nationwide? BEcause maybe thse bombings are just strategies done by the government to terrorize the  people in order for them to fulfill their interests. You may say that I sound judgmental, but if you would think over it, the trend of terrorist attacks goes in a cycle. For everysix months, bomgbings happen and for every bombing the real criminal is not caught nor seen. Another is that a constitutional bill on the said punishment for government that terrorist attacks is still pending in the congress. It has been passed but still it has not yet been approved by the body. The question is, why wouldn’t they approve it? Are they afraid that they, themselves, would be affecter by it? Who knows?

And lastly, we should not always blame the government for the thinkgs happening in our country. In the first place, we are the ones who put them there. Without us, they would not be elected in office. So who are to blame? Us right? The problem with us Filipinos is that we have distorted the true values of nationalism and love for our country and others we have become too dependent on the government. We must act and help our own selves. We must not wait for others to lend us a hand because they themselves are experiencing the same troubles for the success of our nation does not solely lie on the government for the greatest part lies in us.

Philippines country is in crisi; the solution for our problem lies in our hands. If we are not going to act now, sooner or later our country would be far beyond the povery line. Ten years from now, there would only be two factions left in our societyl the poorest and the richest. AS some Filipinos continue to get richer, some become poorer. When we are goign to heed the cry of our motherland? Tomorrow? Maybe not. For tomorrow may not come. When are we going to act? Think.
